Even before my feet hit the floor, I start saying, “This is the day the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it.” A lot can happen between the time you sit up in bed and when your feet hit the floor!įor example, one morning when I first awoke, I put my foot down on the floor not realizing that my foot was asleep.
I will not rejoice and be glad in it.” But I have discovered the value of speaking the right kind of words when I arise. Therefore I would prefer to say, “Oh, it’s morning. In fact, my energy level increases around midnight! I prefer the night rather than the morning. Some people may naturally enjoy getting up early and watching the sunrise. Psalm 118:24 gives us the right kind of words to say: “This is the day which the Lord hath made we will rejoice and be glad in it.” What a good idea to start each day saying what the Bible says! It is so important that we start our day with the right kind of words. Here is something I read from Kenneth Hagin Ministries Study Center: You cannot speak the Word if you do not know the Word ? Meditate on it, memorize it and speak it.
Please don’t be stranded, the Word needs to be in our hearts, minds and mouth. But if you don’t know the word off hand and you can’t open a Bible or a Bible app at the time, you’ll be stranded. Especially if you are battling with negative thoughts, you can always counter them with the Word. How about you? I have realized more and more that meditating on and memorizing the Word of God is super important. Hey guys how are you? January ends tomorrow, can you believe it?! 2016 has been off to a great start for me.
